Champion of safety and sustainability, Aaron Wright is driven by one uncompromising goal: everyone goes home safe—every day.

Meet Aaron Wright, Environmental, Health & Safety Manager for our operations in Weidman, Michigan. Quietly working behind the scenes to prevent problems before they reach the floor, Aaron keeps Weidman safe while making sustainability part of how we work. In this spotlight, he shares the unseen work behind prevention, the challenges of change, and why Electrolux Professional Group is a great place to grow.

You are Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for our Weidman operations – can you tell us what does your job title entail? Tell us more about what you do!

My job as an EH&S Manager is all about creating a safe place for everyone who walks through our doors. I spend my days catching hazards before they become problems and helping people stay aware of how to protect themselves. I also make sure visitors know the ropes so they can feel confident and safe while they’re here. On the environmental side, I get to lead forward‑thinking projects that help us cut our carbon footprint and be more sustainable.

What route did you take in terms of studies and jobs to where you are today?

I got my start in the safety field while serving in the United States Air Force starting in 2012. That experience really opened the door for me and set the foundation for everything I do now. After transitioning to civilian life, I worked in several Environmental, Health & Safety roles, mainly in the automotive industry. Each position helped me build new skills and grow in both safety and environmental programs. All of that eventually led me to where I am today in my current EH&S role.

What do you love about the role?

I love being able to make a real difference in the safety and sustainability of everyone’s workday. It’s rewarding knowing the work I do helps to create a safer, healthier environment for all our employees. I enjoy finding ways to improve how we operate and making safety feel simple and natural. Most of all, I love knowing that the programs we put in place help ensure everyone goes home safe at the end of each day.

And, on the other hand, what are the biggest challenges?

My biggest challenges usually come from balancing the fast pace of daily operations with the need to keep safety and sustainability front and center. Sometimes it can be tough getting everyone on board with new processes or changes, especially when things get busy. Staying ahead of evolving regulations and requirements also keeps me on my toes. And of course, there’s always the challenge of identifying potential issues before they turn into real problems. But even with the tough parts, the work is always worth it.

What aspect of your role is vital to our success but perhaps not widely known by others?

One part of my role that often goes unnoticed is how much behind‑the‑scenes work goes into preventing issues before they ever reach the floor. A lot of my time is spent analysing risks, reviewing data, and quietly correcting small problems long before they become big ones. I also collaborate with different teams to make sure safety and sustainability are built into our processes—not just added on after the fact. These proactive steps may not be visible day‑to‑day, but they’re a huge part of keeping our people safe, our operations efficient, and our overall goals on track. It’s the unseen work that usually makes the biggest impact.

What has been the most pivotal moment in your career at Electrolux Professional Group so far?

The most pivotal moment for me was achieving our ISO 14001 certification! It was a huge milestone that took a lot of teamwork, preparation, and commitment to our environmental goals. Being part of that success—and seeing our efforts officially recognized—was incredibly rewarding. It really reinforced why I’m passionate about what I do and how much impact strong sustainability practices can have on our business.

What advice would you give to people wanting to work in a position like yours?

If you’re interested in an EH&S role, my biggest advice is to stay curious and never stop learning—safety and sustainability are always evolving. Get as

much hands‑on experience as you can, because real‑world exposure teaches you things no book ever will. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or speak up; being

proactive is a huge part of this job. Build strong relationships with people across the workplace—partnership and communication make everything smoother.

Tell us about your experience of working in a multinational environment and the opportunities that exist within the company?

Working in a multinational environment has been one of the best parts of my experience here. I get to collaborate with people from different countries, backgrounds, and cultures, and that brings fresh ideas and new perspectives to the table every day. It creates a really energetic, open‑minded atmosphere where everyone has something unique to contribute.

What I also love is the amount of opportunity within the company. Whether it’s learning from global teams, joining cross‑functional projects, or exploring different career paths, there’s always room to grow. Being part of a worldwide organization really opens the door to learning, development, and making an impact far beyond your local site.

Why choose to work at Electrolux Professional Group?
