The ultimate mission of our internal Group communication manager based at the HQ in Stockholm is to make her colleagues’ work-lives easier and more successful.
Justina is an AI and IT whizz as well as the content force behind global leadership meetings, a writer for the intranet and you can find her behind the camera interviewing colleagues. Or even in front of it for ‘My Best Tip’ – a weekly series where she shares a simple trick or advice in a video short.

What does your job title entail? Tell us more about what you do!
As an internal communication manager, I focus on creating engagement and ensuring people feel connected to the company and each other. Additionally, I strive to make it easier for everyone to do their jobs. I do this by ensuring they have the information they need, understand the bigger picture, know what tools and support are available to them and don’t feel frustrated or lost due to unclear communication. When people are engaged and well-informed, they’re empowered to be more content at work and be more successful.
What route did you take in terms of studies and jobs to where you are today?
My base is a university degree in Media and communication, but it was when I worked in the telecom industry in the beginning of my career that I really learned how companies operate and how internal communication truly can make a difference. Besides telecom, I’ve also worked in the pharmaceutical industry, within government agencies and briefly in retail. These experiences continually helped me improve my skills. A common thread in these roles is my close work with IT organizations, making IT my “home” alongside internal communication. That’s also part of what I do today, as digital transformation and AI implementation are crucial to our business.
What do you love about the role?
I really enjoy the variety in my role. I get to interact with people in different roles and functions, which gives me insight into many parts of the business. I also love being a piece of something bigger and contributing with my skill to explain things that are complex. I really appreciate the global aspect of the job too, meeting people in different regions and locations and learning from their perspectives adds a lot of energy and meaning to what I do.
And, on the other hand, what are the biggest challenges?
Definitely getting the messages across to the audience. There is a lot of information going around and everyone is always in their daily business, which means that they do not always take in the information that the Group considers important. Too bad as it many times actually would make their work easier in the long run.
What advice would you give to people wanting to work in a position like yours?
Be curious and open to learn, especially about different parts of the business. That understanding helps you grasp not just what people are saying, but what they really mean. And stay open to new technologies, they’re always changing and keeping up with them helps stay on top of things.

How would you like to develop further in your role or potentially do something completely different?
I’m very interested in AI and the potential it has when used in the right way. I’d like to develop further in this area and also help others understand how they can use AI in their daily work. It’s exciting to get the opportunity to be part of something as groundbreaking as AI and see how it’s changing the way we work.
Tell us about your experience of the multinational working environment and the opportunities that exist within the company?
It definitely adds to the challenge but also makes it so much more real as you need to think about communication from different angles. You really need to make sure that the communication truly is in the voice of the company. The global context offers plenty of room to grow and you’re encouraged to explore, take initiative and shape a career that evolves with you.
